By student request, the second floor of the Patrick Power Library is a quiet zone meant for studying, reading, researching, and completing assignments. You’ll find lots of seating next to windows, letting in natural light. Just remember to quiet your cell phone. The library’s collection of physical (print) books is in what libraries call the “stacks.” Here on the second floor, you can find books with call numbers beginning with A through PN. Group Study Rooms are spaces that Saint Mary’s students can book for small group study. Bookings are limited to two-hour blocks of time, with a limit of two bookings per day (per student). These computer workstations are available for searching Novanet, which is the library catalogue. There are Novanet tutorials on the library website for guidance on how to search.
